Bent has worked with a long list of successful Junior Riders, helping to support and guide them as they begin their own exploration of dressage. Among them have been:
Suzanne LaPorte who received a team Silver for the United States in the 2003 Dressage at Devon Junior rider competition. Suzanne also won an individual Gold medal in this competition and went on to be selected from an excellent group of young riders to work with Lisa Wilcox and Ernst Hoyos in Germany. Coming back from that experience, and working with Bent really gave Suzanne and Wittus a distinct edge and they went on to win PSG at Wellington in February 2004 with a 64.9%
Trae LaPorte rode with Bent for 3 years and is now a working student for Ernst Hoyos in Germany. He also found success at the 2003 Dressage at Devon riding Fleetwood, winning the Young Rider Team Test scoring 65.926% and then winning the Young Rider Freestyle with 70.167%.
